Welcome to Pershing County and thank you for visiting the website of the Clerk-Treasurer.  We hope to provide you with useful information about the duties and responsibilities of our office.

        The Office of the Clerk-Treasurer has many functions.  Nevada State Statute establishes many of our duties, others are county ordinance, and some are just county custom.

        The Clerk-Treasurer is the Clerk of the 6^th Judicial District Court in Pershing County .  By statute we are Clerk to the Pershing County Commission, the Regional Transportation Commission, Debt Management Commission, the Board of Equalization and any others required by statute.

        The office issues marriage licenses to couples wishing to get married and Certificates of Permission to Perform Marriages to the ministers in our county wishing to marry those couples.  We file Notary Bonds and Fictitious Firm Name Certificates for businesses.  The County’s welfare program is also administered from the Clerk-Treasurer’s Office.

        Passport Applications, as well as other passport information, are available in the District Court Clerk’s Office.

        The Office is charged with conducting the elections within Pershing County including the Primary Election in August, the General Election in November and any special elections that may be called.  The list of registered voters for Pershing County is also maintained in the Clerk’s Office.

        It is the responsibility of the Clerk-Treasurer to receive, disburse and invest county funds.  The office is responsible for the collection of real and personal Property Taxes and numerous special assessments and utilities.

        These are just a few of the things we do on a regular basis and we invite you to visit our specific sites to gather more information on those functions.
