The Pershing County Road Department contains two shops. The main shop is located in Lovelock and the second shop is located in Imlay. The Imlay road shop is operated and maintained by two of our county truck drivers/equipment operators. The Lovelock shop is operated and maintained by the Road Superintendent, Road Supervisor, five truck drivers/equipment operators, one secretary and two landfill Operators. The Pershing County Road Department is responsible for maintaining all County roads.  We specialize but are not limited to grading, paving, patching and chip sealing all county roads.

Our crew oversees road maintenance annually on approximately 800 miles of county gravel roads and 45 miles of paved county roads. The road crew maintains and installs cattle guards, culverts and drainage for all county roads.

During winter months the county crew snowplows and salts county paved roads for our safety.

Road department mechanics maintain and repair all county vehicles not just the heavy equipment. That is 94 pieces of machinery for two mechanics!

The Road Department also oversees all aspects of the Pershing County Landfill and all transfer sites within our county.
